The Marimba CALYPSO is a great musical installation to encourage musical creativity while stimulating a wonder for music and sound. It consists of a set of metal tubes which resonate with a soft sound, rich in harmonic tones. Two people at a time can play the CALYPSO. Measures 107cmH x 62cmW x 170cmL. Note: The mallets are attached to the instrument with armed (steel) rope.
It blends very well with the Tubular Bells FOREST and the Handpan KOALA.
The playing technique is very simple and intuitive; just strike the middle of the tubes with the permanently attached mallets.
The instrument can be installed with two anchoring systems:
Flat Anchor (this model) – the best solution to install instruments on hard surfaces (e.g. concrete).
In Ground Anchor – See #10931 Marimba CALYPSO Installation (In Ground Anchor). Ensures a professional and stable installation on soft surfaces (e.g. lawn, sand).
