Bardi Grubs with Coolamon Set

Did you know Bardi Grubs (Witchetty Grubs) are the larva of a moth? They can be found in the root system of the Witchetty Bush. High in protein they taste a lot like scrambled eggs! Each of these grubs has been painted to represent the dots and colours on the real animal. They are all unique with some coloured and some plain, also some painted with the traditional symbol of a Bardi grub. Incorporating bush tucker into your dramatic play experiences creates opportunities to embed culture into curriculum. Can also be used in sensory play activities, in treasure hunts and so much more.
