About the Artist – Murruppi

Murruppi works from his studio in Southeast Queensland, Australia, where he makes his artefacts by hand. He is from the Djirrbal and Ngadjonji clans of Far North Queensland, bringing his cultural heritage and craftsmanship to each individually created piece.

Murruppi’s didgeridoos are renowned for their quality and authentic sound, with each instrument individually handcrafted and painted. Variations in artwork, colour and the natural eucalyptus ensure that every piece is unique.
