Galileo Thermometer 28cm

400 year old design by Galileo! This beautiful sealed glass cylinder contains 6 colourful, carefully weighted balls of hand blown glass. As the ambient temperature changes, the paraffin within the thermometer changes density, affecting which baubles float and which sink. Accurate for a temperature range between 18 degrees celsius and 28 degrees celsius.
