This beautiful set of story stones are designed by a local Nyungar artist and depict Aboriginal symbols relating to Gathering and Bushfood.
These 12 story stones are hand carved and engraved with indigenous symbols. The set comes with an additional hand painted stone. To assist you to understand each symbol a fact sheet is included explaining the symbols represented.
This multi-use resource will promote a greater understanding of Aboriginal gathering and bushfood. They can be used to enhance literacy through storytelling and as a visual prop when reading books about Aboriginal culture and heritage. They would be great to include in a creative area as rubbing stones and are ideal to support and promote conversations about gathering food and bush tucker.
